Ouch..

I was minding my own business as we sat in a circle to read out Scene 1 of Shakespeare's famous play, Romeo & Juliet. I scanned the room full of people that are particularly familiar to me. To my right sat a quiet Kuwaiti girl and to my left a friend quite close to me. As our teacher was explaining the reasons why we study Shakespeare, a girl on the opposite side of the circle caught my eye. She was staring right at me, I wasn't aware how long for but she chuckled as our eyes met. I gave her a confused look and glanced down to my copy of the play. She bravely whispered something to the girl beside her. The girl beside her turned her focus towards me and ended up in hysterics. It was then that I felt the stab right in the middle of my chest. The pain for which I had vaguely felt before but never to such an extent. It hurt. Tears filled up in my eyes yet I stopped them from rolling down my cheeks. The Kuwaiti girl beside me sensed that something was wrong and asked out of genuine care if I was feeling fine. I nodded, and looked back at the teacher as she delegated the parts of Benvolio, Tybalt and Romeo to the group of boys sitting a couple of chairs away from me.
